The content of you’re developer emails can be configured by logging into your OpenChannel dashboard at my.openchannel.io and clicking on Settings -> Emails. When you turn on developer emails, a button “Customize Content” will appear that will allow you to customize the content of the emails.

You must have administrator privileges for your marketplace in order to see Settings in the left navigation menu.

There are the following events:

App Submitted: This event is triggered when a developer published their app version to the marketplace.

App Approved: This event is triggered when a marketplace administrator approves the submitted app.

App Rejected: This event is triggered when a marketplace administrator rejects the submitted app.

App In Review: This event is triggered when a marketplace administrator changes the app’s status to “In Review”.

App Suspended: This event is triggered when an app is moved from Approved to Suspended by the marketplace administrator or by the OpenChannel system.

App Unsuspended: This event is triggered when an app is moved from Suspended to Approved by the marketplace administrator or by the OpenChannel system.

Each event can be configured with it’s own subject, title and text.

  • The subject is the subject line for the email.
  • The title is injected into the {{title}} placeholder within Email Template.
  • The text is injected into the {{text}} placeholder within Email Template.

There are placeholders that can be added within text content blocks to allow the injection of dynamic content:

{{app.name}} placeholder will be replaced with the name of the app.

{{app.status.reason}} placeholder will be replaced with the reason for the status change. It will be blank if no reason is available.
